Abbotsbury Swannery is a very well known Dorset tourist attraction, offering something for all tastes, a must see if you're visiting the area.

The Swannery was voted "Best Family Attraction in Dorset" by the Good Guide to Britain.

During the hatching season (May to June) its possible to walk amongst the swans nests, which are full of hatching eggs. At this time baby swans can be photographed leaving their eggs.

Children are catered for with a rustic play area, containing swinging nests and a bale mountain.
