Brownsea Island is set in Poole harbour. The island contains a variety of wildlife and is a great place for a leisurely walk.
Brownsea Island (owned by the National Trust) offers great views of Studland, Old Harry Rocks and the Purbeck Hills. It's ideal for walks and picnics. The islands habitat consists of woodlands, heathland and a lagoon. Brownsea has a large variety of wildlife, including red squirrels, peacocks, herons, deer and birds. The island is best known as the birthplace of Scouting and Guiding.
