Kingston Lacy is a grade 1 listed building and was home to the Bankes family for 300 years, who previously resided at Corfe Castle until it’s destruction. The house is finely decorated inside and contains a large collection of art (Rubens, Van Dyck, Titian, Breughel) and Egyptian antiques. Kingston Lacys grounds make for relaxing walks, strolling around the gardens, through the woodlands, admiring the magnificent trees. The kitchens, washing rooms and stables are also open to the public. Events (such as car boot sales, plant sales) are also held here throughout the year. Kingston Lacy photos
