Old Wardour Castle

Old Wardour CastleOld Wardour Castle is just a short drive from the town of Shaftesbury. The castle is in ruins, which came about during the civil war.

A small admission charge grants you access to Wardour castle. If you like walking, there's a walk around the back of the castle, along the edge of the forest (great for dogs). Where great views of the castle and the nearby lake can be seen. If you’re planning on walking and it’s been raining, we advise taking wellies, as it can get very muddy.
