Sherborne Castle is one of Dorsets main attractions, a magnificent Tudor mansion from the 16^th century.

The castle was built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594 and is set in 40 acres of landscaped gardens, which are adjacent to a 50 acre lake. A walk around the lake affords spectacular views of the castle and brings you to the ruins of the 12th century, Sherborne Old Castle.

Sherbourne castle is steeped in history and contains much fine art, furniture and antiques. Inside there are several rooms to explore including, Tudor Kitchens, Library and Green Drawing room.
