The Gardens are subdivided: there’s a Cottage Garden, a Rose Garden, a Japanese Garden and a Cloister Garden. There’s also a large pond and tropical hothouse. The Arts and Crafts Centre is made up of several small shops, run by resident craftsmen and women. They offer a choice pottery, paintings, sculptures, cards etc, at very reasonable prices. Next door is the restaurant and entrance to the abbey. The abbey is similar inside to many traditional churches and is a tranquil place to sit and relax. Located between Ferndown and Wimborne, with a pub just across the road and Knoll Gardens just around the corner. Click on a photo to enlarge

Stapehill Abbey and Gardens is a wonderful place to visit. It was once a nunnery where nuns enjoyed peace and tranquillity, today it’s a popular tourist attraction.
