Christchurch is named after its centrepiece – the grand priory church. Set between the rivers Stour and Avon, the Dorset towns’ architecture is a blend of Saxon to Renaissance. Christchurch town centre boasts a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs and Christchurch harbour front is a beautiful place for a walk. Christchurch attractions include, Christchurch Castle, Red House museum and Place Mill.
Hengistbury Head is a headland situated between Christchurch and Bournemouth. It’s a great place for a walk, there are several paths and routes to choose from.
