Sherborne Castle is a magnificent Tudor mansion from the 16^th century.

It was built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594 and is set in 40 acres of landscaped gardens, which are adjacent to a 50 acre lake. A walk around the lake affords spectacular views of the castle and brings you to the ruins of the 12th century, Old Sherborne Castle.

The castle is steeped in history and contains much fine art, furniture and antiques. Inside there are several rooms to explore including, the Tudor Kitchens, the Library and the Green Drawing room.
